Details on JSL Creative Learning Demo Reel

#1 – Wisdom Within – This fast-paced clip was part of an introduction for a 52-week sharing of best practices within an organization.  Employees submitted a story of how they best served customers or patients.  We chose 52 of the best, interviewed the employee and created a simple video of their advice.  It was a great way to share great practices and give kudos to employees.

#2 – Diversity – The full 5-minute video was created for an EDI department to introduce or supplement their employee education around Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

#3 – Active Listening – Coaching – Part of 5-part series on effective employee coaching.  It was created as a stand-alone piece or a follow-up to a half-day coaching class.

#4 – There are Places in the World Where We Feel Small – Created for a mandatory class on the New Member Experience for Kaiser Permanente.  After teaching a number of techniques for identifying and making new members feel welcome, the class ended with a video designed to help employees emotionally remember the experience of being new in an unfamiliar situation. #5 – Empathy – This was part of a series called “Take Two.” Every other week for a year, all Kaiser Permanente employees were emailed a “bite-size” video to reinforce important organizational initiatives.  These videos were often used by managers as discussion-starters during team meetings.  And occasionally KP’s president would include in her monthly newsletters to highlight something she considered especially important. #6 – Strategy – CH2M Hill – Part of a series of high-level videos educating employees about the company and their initiatives.

#7 – Play – One in a series of Leadership Videos designed to educate supervisors and managers on topics like self-leadership, team dynamics, emotional intelligence and conflict management.  In addition to education, each video included a “classroom” where leaders were given practical ways to apply the information, for themselves and their teams.

#8 – What Went Well – Elevate –  This was a part of a video series designed to train managers on how to have a brief coaching conversation with their employees around three questions: What went well? What could have gone better? and What are you focused on going forward?

#9 – Members for Life Documentary – Employees or their colleagues submitted stories about experiences they’d created that would make a Kaiser Permanente member want to stay with KP for their entire life.  The result was a very moving 10-minute documentary of employees telling their stories.  It was shown at all new-employee orientations to illustrate the standards to which KP hoped new employees would aspire. a 5-minute version of this video can be seen here.
